The Pro-LIMS (the Lab Information Management System for PROTEOMICS) was developed to facilitate Mass Spectrometry data manegement/analysis/validation for the proteomics efforts at the University of Kansas. It is a joint project of the Bioinformatics Core Facility (BCF) and the Analytical Proteomics Laboratory (APL) and is further supported by the Information and Telecommuncation Technology Center at KU (ITTC). Pro-LIMS consists of a web-browser based interface, a relational database as the backend, and scripts to manage the data, backup and archive files to ITTC file server. The web-browser based interface allows end users to submit requests and access results via the web-browser based interface. It also accepts inputs from MS specialist. The system is password-protected.
