Radio Program Receives National Award
Medicine Chest, the weekly radio spot produced by HBC with assistance from the KU Center for Research, KU Medical Center’s Drug Information Center and the KU Office of University Relations received gold medals in the categories of script writing and multimedia production from the District VI awards competition of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). An international education association for professionals in alumni relations, communications and philanthropy, CASE recognized Medicine Chest for being both "educational and interesting." The 90-second program covers a broad spectrum of information about drug use, actions, storage, and research; it often features answers to the many questions that KU Medical Center’s Drug Information Center receives about prescription and over-the-counter medications.
